1. Summary
Puzzles, journeys and word cards run on your device. Vocab Wonders does not need an account.
2. What is stored on your phone
Learner profiles, puzzle and journey progress, streaks, daily goals, My Words, settings and bundled content. This data stays in the app’s storage on the device.
3. Hearing words
Word audio plays on the device. The app does not need a microphone for core puzzles.
4. Features that use the internet
The game is designed to work offline after install. Ads for adult profiles (Google AdMob) and the Remove ads purchase check use the network. Your puzzle answers are not sent to Melipy servers.
5. Ads and purchases
Adult (18+) profiles may see ads served by Google AdMob: an occasional full-screen ad after you finish a level, and an optional ad you can choose to watch for one extra hint. Profiles under 18, or with no age set, never see ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the app asks for your consent with Google's consent form before any ad is requested; you can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad privacy options. Ad requests are non-personalized. Google may collect device identifiers, approximate location (from the IP address) and ad interactions for ad delivery, measurement and fraud prevention, as described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Your profiles, learning progress and age band are never shared with Google. A one-time Remove ads purchase turns off all ads and is verified with Apple or Google; we do not create a Melipy account for it.
6. Children and profiles
You can create up to 4 local profiles. Profiles under 18 do not see ads. Parents are responsible for who uses the device.
