Sumi Ninja privacy policy

Sumi Ninja is a free game that plays offline. Your game progress stays on your phone and is never sent to us. When you are online, the game shows ads from Google AdMob. This page explains what is stored, what the ads use, and your choices.

1. Who we are

Sumi Ninja is made by Wombat Game Studio, the games studio of Melipy AI Labs, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. In this policy “we” means Wombat Game Studio. Contact: [email protected].

2. Summary

Battles, ninjas and progress run on your device. We do not collect personal data, we have no game servers and no account is needed. The game uses the internet only to show ads from Google AdMob. Ads are not personalized, and the game does not use analytics or cross-app tracking.

3. What the game stores on your phone

Your game progress (unlocked Ougi, coins, wins, losses and best times) and your settings (such as sound volume). This data is saved in the game’s own storage on your device. It is never sent to us, and it is never shared with Google or any ad partner.

4. Ads (Google AdMob)

Sumi Ninja is free and is paid for by ads served by Google AdMob. You can choose to watch an ad after a battle for bonus coins, and a full-screen ad may appear now and then between battles; ads never appear during a fight. Ad requests are non-personalized: they are not based on your interests or on your activity in other apps. To serve ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud, Google may collect device information such as the advertising ID or app-set ID, the IP address (used for approximate location), device and app details, and how you interact with the ads. Google uses this data under its own policies, described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland the game asks for your consent with Google’s consent form before any ad is requested.

5. Internet and permissions

You can play without a connection; ads are simply not shown while you are offline. On Android the game uses internet and network-state access for ads, and the advertising ID permission that Google’s ad library adds. On iPhone the game does not ask to track you (no App Tracking Transparency prompt) and does not access your contacts, photos, location, camera or microphone.

6. Other third parties

Apart from Google AdMob, the game contains no advertising, analytics or tracking software. It is built with open-source software that runs only on your device; see the licenses page. Apple (App Store) and Google (Google Play) handle downloads and may collect information under their own privacy policies, for example install statistics or crash reports you choose to share with them.

7. Children

Sumi Ninja is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Ads are non-personalized for every player. A parent who wants to stop ads can keep the device offline while playing or remove the game.

8. Your choices and rights

Where consent applies, you can change your ad choices at any time on the game’s Credits screen (tap AD PRIVACY). You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s settings and manage Google’s ad data at https://myadcenter.google.com. Your game data is under your control on your device: delete it at any time by clearing the game’s data or uninstalling it (see the data deletion page). We hold no personal data about you. If you email us, we use your message only to answer you and delete it when it is no longer needed.

9. Changes to this policy

If a future version of the game changes how data is handled, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date above.
